How we do our reupolstery process:
Remove all old fabric. Many reupholsterers will lay new fabric right over old. This can cause the fabric to be too thick and the staples do not get a firm hold in the wood. Replace foam as needed. We only use high density foam. Often lower density foam will break down 6 months after being installed.
The reupholstery process for the customer:
Our customers take a picture of the piece and the area of repair, send it to us for a budgetary quote. They come in to our shop and find a fabric to use, going through our many books of fabrics to touch and feel thickness and texture. When they have the right piece, we finalize the quote and they place order.
We schedule a pick up service once the order is placed. The pickup schedule is when we are ready to work on piece in order to keep the furniture “out-of-home” time low.
